Patson was instrumental in the creation of this business improvement district which strives to improve daily life in the Civic Center area of San Francisco.

The Civic Center district is home not only to city, state and federal office buildings but also to a wealth of arts and cultural institutions including the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, the San Francisco Ballet, the Conservatory of Music, the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, the San Francisco Public Library, and the San Francisco Asian Arts Museum.

Ian Paget and David Harrison both served on the steering committee which led to the formation of the Civic Center Community Benefit District.  David Harrison served as the CCCBD’s first board Chair, and continues to serve the district as Past Chair.
